To provide a manageably smaller file size, the 2006 OCUP requires two downloads. The OCUP2006Update file and the Guides2006Update. The OCUP2006Update updates all content for the Planner software including expectations. The Guides2006Update will update the Glossary information that is used in the Planner. You should download both files; however, the order of their installation is not important.

  1. Official Version 3.0
    The Official Version of the Planner uses Filemaker Pro 5.5 and is typically stored in a directory called PLNR2002.

  2. Runtime Version
    The Runtime Version of the software does not use the Filemaker Pro software to run. This software is typically stored in a directory called PLNR2005R.

  3. Kindergarten Updates
    Because of a technical difference of the Kindergarten file within the planner, the Kindergarten Updates from 2006 are supplied separately in the following files.

Notes for Windows users:
When running the UPDATER for the Planner 2005 Runtime on PC, file associations MAY have to be made so that your computer knows how to run the file To ensure the appropriate file association is made:

  1. Double click on My Computer on your computer's desktop (or your usual file explorer)
  2. Navigate to the C:\PLNR2005R\ directory.
  3. Right click on GUIDES_ file in this directory and click on OPEN WITH.
  4. The RECOMMENDED PROGRAMS should list Filemaker Pro Runtime.

If it does not list this entry:

  1. Find and select Filemaker Pro Runtime in the list of OTHER PROGRAMS
  2. Check "ALWAYS USE THE SELECTED PROGRAM TO OPEN THIS KIND OF FILE";
  3. Click on OK at the bottom of dialog.

Once this file association is made, you should be able to run the Runtime update.
