Growing Success, assessment, evaluation and reporting: improving student learning (2008) (PDF 2.8mb) |
 |
Growing Success is a working document developed to support consultation among stakeholders on Assessment, Evaluation and Reporting policy. The document consolidates a number of key current policy statements for the elementary and secondary panels. In addition, it provides a rationale for these policies and illustrations of implementation practice. Growing Success also identifies some outstanding issues regarding these policies that stakeholders have indicated need greater clarity or specificity to promote consistent practice.
The document has been developed to provide a common reference point to facilitate focussed board discussion/feedback to the Ministry and to structure stakeholder consultations that will be conducted throughout the policy development process. Board submissions and stakeholder consultations will inform the clarifications made to the policy that will be incorporated in the updated and comprehensive, K-12 Assessment, Evaluation and Reporting policy scheduled for implementation in September, 2009.
A French-language version of this document <<Faire croître le succès>> has also been developed.
